Porsche has secured the top position in the 2026 J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), earning the highest overall brand ranking and demonstrating a major year‑over‑year improvement in early‑ownership quality. The Porsche 911 also achieved the study’s best overall vehicle ranking for the second consecutive year, reaffirming its leadership in the Premium Sporty Car category.
The IQS evaluates customer‑reported issues during the first 90 days of ownership across driving experience, exterior quality, driver assistance systems, controls and displays, infotainment, interior, and powertrain. Porsche’s score improved to 138 Problems per Hundred Vehicles (PPH), a significant reduction from last year’s 188.
Porsche’s development process focuses on anticipating customer needs early, using digital simulations, virtual analyses, and global testing programs to identify potential issues before vehicles reach customers. Final validation always takes place on the actual sports car to ensure precision and performance.
The 2026 IQS results reinforce Porsche’s commitment to delivering sports cars of the highest quality and continuously elevating standards for drivers around the world.
