Porsche Club Gears Up for Route 66 Car Show

As part of the celebration, the Lincoln Trail Porsche Club of America will host a special showcase known as the Porsche Promenade.

Springfield is gearing up for one of its most iconic annual traditions—the International Route 66 Mother Road Festival, returning to historic downtown from September 25–27, 2026. This year is especially meaningful, marking both the 100th Anniversary of Route 66 and the 25th year of the festival itself.

More than 1,200 classic cars, live music, and the unmistakable nostalgia of America’s most famous highway will fill the streets for a weekend that draws enthusiasts from across the country.

Porsche Takes Center Stage: The Porsche Promenade

As part of the celebration, the Lincoln Trail Porsche Club of America will host a special showcase known as the Porsche Promenade. The club is planning an impressive lineup of more than 50 Porsche vehicles, representing everything from air‑cooled classics to modern icons.

PCA regions from Chicago, St. Louis, and Southern Indiana have been invited to join the display, and notable automotive personalities Chuck Foos and Dennis Gage have already confirmed they’ll be attending.

For Porsche fans, it’s shaping up to be one of the standout attractions of the entire festival.
