The Porsche Charging Planner makes long-distance electric driving a breeze.
It not only identifies all the fast-charging stations but also maps out the best route with scheduled charging stops, ensuring Porsche drivers enjoy a hassle-free journey with the perfect energy reserve upon arrival.
The Porsche Charging Planner comes standard with the My Porsche app and is integrated into the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system of all-electric Porsche models as part of the navigation. When enabled, this smart tool maps out charging stops along your chosen route, ensuring that you reach your destination with the least amount of charging time and the fewest stops.
It also manages battery preconditioning to ensure optimal charging performance during stops, allowing for up to 320 kW for the Taycan and a maximum of 270 kW for the Macan. This leads to quick charging and reduced travel times.
The Porsche Charging Planner's database features fast-charging locations offering a capacity of over 50 kW. For those in a rush, drivers can narrow down their options to find fast chargers with a minimum of 250 kW. Additionally, charging stations can be filtered by provider. The system prioritizes fast chargers affiliated with the Porsche Charging Service (PCS), which is advantageous since many of these locations support Plug and Charge. This ensures automatic activation of the charging station and payment as soon as the charging cable is connected to the vehicle, providing a truly convenient experience.
